Dr. Stephan Suckow

Dr. Stephan Suckow obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (with honors) in Physics of Semiconductor Technology from the BTU Cottbus, Germany, and his PhD in Physics from RWTH Aachen University in 2012. He joined AMO in 2015 and became the vice head of the Nanophotonics group in 2018. His recent research interests are simulation and design of nanophotonic components with a focus on the integration of new materials onto the silicon and silicon nitride platform. His previous research activities were all centered on the light-matter interaction of semiconductors and semiconductor quantum structures in particular. He has worked in and managed several national and European funded projects (e.g. PlasmoFAB, RETINA, ElecTRIC, PerovsKET, SASER, Bandstrukturdesign, SINOVA, SHyWA).
